It’s more efficient to use these heroes when gathering specific resources. These heroes are called the Rare Heroes and they’re coloured blue.

| Hero | Resource |
|---|---|
| Olive | Mill (Bread) |
| Forest | Lumberyard (Wood) |
| Edwin | Quarry (Stone) |
| Seth | Iron Mine (Iron) |
Here are 5+ solid resource gathering tips for Kingshot players (Bread/Food, Wood, Stone, Iron), pulled from current efficient strategies:
- Max out your march queues
Aim for 5 simultaneous gathering marches (Command Tactics I/II/III in the Growth tree + VIP 6). Keep every slot busy at all times — idle marches = zero income. Stagger start times so returns are staggered and you can immediately re-send. - Park your Town Center inside alliance territory
The big gathering speed bonus (+50–100%) is based on where your TC sits, not the tile location. This is one of the strongest passive multipliers available and stacks with research and heroes. - Always send the right gathering heroes
- Gordon is excellent early for +25% gathering speed + march capacity.
- Use the matching Rare (blue) heroes for max bonus:
- Olive → Bread
- Forrest → Wood
- Edwin → Stone
- Seth → Iron
The hero must be in the march for the wilderness gathering skill to apply (up to +25% at skill level 5).
- Target Level 6–8 tiles
These offer the best balance of yield, gathering speed, and availability. Lower tiles are inefficient; higher ones don’t exist. Prefer tiles near your city when possible to cut travel time. - Prioritize Economy tree research focused on gathering speed
Gathering-speed nodes outperform pure production nodes long-term. Stack research + hero bonuses + alliance territory and you can reach 300–400% of base gathering speed. - Maintain a healthy resource ratio (~20 : 20 : 4 : 1)
Bread : Wood : Stone : Iron. Focus extra marches on whatever is currently bottlenecking your next big upgrade (early game often Bread/Wood; later Stone/Iron become scarcer). - Protect what you gather
Wilderness resources return as non-secured (plunderable above Storehouse protection). Spend them promptly on upgrades, keep excess as unopened backpack items/chests, and time large returns carefully around offline periods or PvP windows. Town production is secured and safer.
Bonus tip: Consider a dedicated farm account (TC ~18 with 4 marches) once your main starts feeling resource pressure — a well-run farm can add millions of resources per day with minimal daily effort.
These tips scale well for both free-to-play and mid-spenders. Share the ones that fit your alliance’s current stage!
